JDSL RECYCLING is a Social impact venture that has tapped into this huge demands and opportunities in the waste recycling ecosystem and the human capacity development. We are aligned with the SDG goals and our core value is transforming the environment into a better place through recycling and sustainable living. We started operations 3 years ago directly employing over 72% women as our workforce . We have recycled over 400T of plastics in the space of operations.
The growing utilization of recyclable waste in industrial and consumer applications, manufacturers’ endless desire for cheaper raw materials as well as increased awareness surrounding solid waste recycling have led to an increased demand for recycled waste in all forms.
Our goal is to tap a 1% fraction (36k ton) of the over 3.6 million metric tons generated in Lagos /Ogun in a year. For us to achieve this result we are pivoting into the integration of collection technology with EV collection assets and energy conservation preprocessing machineries that will guarantee carbon footprint reduction, converse energy with use of solar power, save trees in forest.
To secure material feedstock and guarantee single used materials we are introducing “EARN AS YOU WASTE” that’s incentivized waste sorting from source and securing convenience with use of app to increase citizen engagement in waste management.
